When life becomes so mundane and monotonous, weekends or short vacations becomes a lifesaver, a switch to restart your body and mind. But then the very idea of traveling becomes more exhausting when you start collecting data about where to go, how to reach and how can the time be effectively managed so that you get a fresh start when you reach back.
I have come up with a few great destinations you can try as round trips. There are many cheap round-trip flights which are so affordable even for the last minute flight deals.
1.Nepal
This close neighbor of us is fast recovering from the devastating earthquake of 2015. The tourism is now open to almost all major destinations inside Nepal. Nepal is a travelers country and offers you much beyond the time you can have. But for that quick refresh, visit Kathmandu. You can visit the Swayambhunath and Pashupatinath temples, Boudha Stupa, Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square which are near Kathmandu.
Don’t miss out to roam around Thamel. A shopping street rich with brightly colored clothing, jewelry, paper lanterns, wood carvings, bronze statues, music, and books. Also, try the dinner at European style restaurant, the Garden of Dreams. Round trip airline tickets to Nepal are so easy and reasonable for a short visit now.
2.Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is a paradise close by. The place can be easily reached and provides affordable stays. On a short trip, you can enjoy Colombo. A place jarred with races, religions, and cultures. The city offers so much contradicting things like mansions, beautiful gardens, and expensive brand shops on one side and on the other would be the slums or the congested roads.
Colombo displays the best and worst the country has to offer. The city is a contrast itself, with mansions, lush gardens, fine dining options, shopping malls packed with expensive designer brands standing next to urban slums; diesel fumed congested roads and street markets. But then which city doesn’t have such a face. You can visit the Pettah market and have tea at one of the colonial style hotels basking on the beach of Indian oceans.
3.Vietnam
Another country you can visit on a short span of time in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh city is the destination you can try exploring for a day or two. An amalgam of old and new is what makes Ho Chi Minh so attractive. The city preserves colonial structures and war relics from the devastating Vietnam War. You have a plenty of -to-do list- in this wonderful place, from visiting the splendid Marriaman temple to War museums.
Visit the Mekong Delta area to get a mood of the place in a Sampan Boat floating along beautiful orchids.
4.Thailand
Krabi is Thailand is a much-sorted destination for all traveler. Ideal for a short or an elaborate trip, Krabi satisfies you a lot. Enjoy the day at Ao Nang beach and there is everything to eat up your time. The place offers beautiful sunsets over the pure blue ocean. Dine at Massaman House which offers some great Thai delicacies. Jump into the Emerald pool at Thung Teao Forest Natural Park- a natural pool with clear water coming out of a hot spring.
If you have an extra day in Krabi, go on with an island hopping. It’s great joy and would bring a great experience of being at Krabi. You can easily find round trip tickets for great deals from almost all great travel experts.
5.Siem Reap, Cambodia
Even though Siem Reap might cost you a bit, its worth to be there. A quiet laid back place with many temples around would give you much peace of mind by watching the people of the streets doing their daily chore. Great monumental temples, amazing mouth-watering food, and happening nightlife, this choice for your short refreshing trip would never go wrong.
Pay a visit to the historical war museums which would be a great deal of historical information, making your vacation a bit more fun.
